  • Who covers the balls, and can I order some?
Balls are split 50/50 between the teams. If you are playing a Florida team at a SBS facility, then the balls will be provided by the non-Florida team. If you are going to the Florida teams home facility, then the Florida team will likely provide the balls. We recommend that you speak with your opposing coach ahead of time to determine what brand of balls your opponent will be using. Cases of Wilson US Open Tennis Balls are available for purchase in advance. If you order a case(s) through SBS, a staff member will have this for you at your first session.
  • What happens after I register?
A staff member will call you to discuss the process and the next steps. Typically, you will be shared on the weekly lists, an invoice for the match fees will be sent (if you’ve selected that option) and after speaking with a team member, we will put together a quote for housing (Commonly called a Cost Comparison).
  • I’m staying in the Cocoa/Melbourne beach area. Can I play a team staying in the Orlando area?
Teams staying in the Cocoa/Melbourne area can still play teams staying in the Orlando area, and vice versa. Please make sure both coaches are in agreement of the location of the match. Approx. distance from USTA National Campus and Cocoa/Melbourne is 75-90 minutes.
  • How do I schedule matches and practices?
You will contact other coaches via the shared weekly google sheet to set up matches. Match and practice requests must be emailed to Paul@springbreaksports.com as you confirm them with your opponent. Please include any specific information such as if your session must be at night due to a team event in the morning, etc. Once submitted, these matches will be added to the tab on the weekly shared google sheets.
